EACH TABLET CONTAINS: ISOXSUPRINE HYDROCHLORIDE I.P. 10MG. EXCIPIENTS Q.S. & ISOXSUPRINE HYDROCHLORIDE I.P. (SUSTAINED RELEASE) EQV.
TO 40MG. OF ISOXSUPRINE HYDROCHLORIDE EXCIPIENTS Q.S.
Isoxsuprine (used as isoxsuprine hydrochloride) is a drug used as a vasodilator. Isoxsuprine is a
beta-adrenergic agonist that causes direct relaxation of uterine and vascular smooth muscle via beta-2 receptors.
Isoxsuprine is used in humans for treatment of premature labour. It is effective long acting selective β stimulates
and have direct smooth muscle relaxant property as well.
INDICATIONS
Premature Labor or Preterm birth, also known as premature birth, is the birth of a baby at fewer than 37 weeks
gestational age. Symptoms of preterm labor include uterine contractions which occur more often than every ten minutes
or the leaking of fluid from the private part. Premature infants are at greater risk for cerebral palsy, delays in
development, hearing problems, and sight problems. These risks are greater the earlier a baby is born.
Threatened / Habitual Abortion or recurrent miscarriage, habitual abortion, or recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is
three or more consecutive pregnancy losses. Infertility differs because it is the inability to conceive. In many cases
the cause of RPL is unknown.
NOTE
Ionotropic effect can be applied to the effect of a transmitter substance or hormone on its target. The transmitter
or hormone activates or deactivates ionotropic receptors.
Chronotropic effects are those that change the heart rate.
DOSE
One tablet once or twice daily or as directed by the doctor.
